I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at Emory University. I study American Politics with a focus on Race, Political Behavior, and Electoral politics. Broadly, I study how voters make decisions in electoral settings, and I specialize in Black vote choice during congressional primaries. I utilize both quantitative and qualitative methodological approaches in my research. My research tends towards causal analysis with randomized experimental methods, and my dissertation includes large-N statistical analysis, focus groups interviews, and case studies. I also have experience teaching at the undergraduate level. I have co-taught a course on Black Politics, and I served as a teacher’s assistant for courses on Black Politics and American Politics.
