Department of Political Science
Georgia State University
I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Georgia State University. I study American Politics, focusing on Race, Political Behavior, and Electoral politics. Broadly, I study how voters make decisions in electoral settings, with a specialization in Black vote choice during congressional primaries. I employ both quantitative and qualitative methodological approaches in my research, which tend towards causal analysis using randomized experimental methods, large-N statistical analysis, and focus group interviews. I also have experience teaching courses at the undergraduate level, including American Politics, African American Politics, and Voting, Elections, and Public Opinion in the US.
